postheadericon FVRHamilton7

FVRFactor.com is proud to present a further WIP (7) installment of the Hamilton 400 for RFACTOR and EVO.

This track is a few weeks of work, mostly from scratch but also using some bits from previous versions we released but has been done in Bob's Track Builder and 3DStudio.

Thanks to Ferret for updating a vast majority of graphics and dBens1 for his cams, AI and research.  Thanks to all that provided feedback on previous version and local knowledge to get this track closer again.

Well we fixed a lot of the holes in the circuit, we put some extreme camber on the circuit as described by Mark Larkham.  We tried to sort the issues out at the chicane, its always a challenge finding a right balance here, due to the lack of being able to put weight into the tyre bales and CHEATERS shortcutting the track.  We think we have found a mix, if you get wrecked, then there is a good chance you were cheating, if you are cheating then why bother playing.  We have widened certain parts of the track, minimised some bits.  We are slowly working through the buildings and making a lot of them 3D, but unless you sit watching the buildings then you aren't racing and thats the whole idea of the track, to race on.

Get it now in the forums - or the EVO version in the Downloads section of the webpage.

postheadericon FVRV8 2009 Simulator Raceway Townsville

Well we decided we needed to share this with the world. Our good friend Adam at Simulator Raceway Townsville in North Queensland was host to a few special events leading up to the inaugural Townsville 400 in 2009. The Townsville Show, a Camp Quality Funtion for under privileged kids and a V8 Supercar driver promotion.  We have had this section in the Forums and decided we needed the world to see what a great bunch of guys the V8 Supercar drivers and the back up events drivers are.  What a great turn out Adam put on.  Enjoy the written narration by Adam up there and if in Townsville be sure to drop in and have a drive at Simulator Raceway.

postheadericon FVRV8 2009 Bathurst Skins Pack and Tracks

Ferret40 has been a busy man this last week and has compiled a Hi and Lo resolution version of the Bathurst Skins for 2009.  They come with their own rFM that doesn't clash with the existing FVRV8 2009.  Of course you need FVRV8 2009 v1.5.  These files are available in rFactor Downloads both here and in the forums.

FVR Bathurst 2009 has been on the drawing boards for the last few weeks for EVO and GTR and although its nowhere near finished, we promised a WIP version and it will be delivered this weekend along with an alternative version of Townsville WIP which will hopefully be for all three sims as well.

  • FlashQld : If you have issues with the tracks, go inside the forums as we have fixes posted in there. Once again the front page is rarely viewed by us as its not a forum.
  • FlashQld : We have had rFactor tracks for months now, Hamilton, Townsville, Gold Coast and Sydney to name a few. They come out for rFactor first then are slowly converted for the others. If you are just interested in file sponging then you've come to the worng place but if you are interested in the development then this is the place but we don't just put them on the front page for everyone to grab.
  • hammie334 : when will some Rfactor tracks come
  • FlashQld : Guys - the reason we have aforum is to fault find and fix, much better than on the front page of our website. Most of us don't readthis very often. If you look in the forums this is being addressed.
  • Nibiru : I just tried joining my server with Gold Coast and had the same problem

  • FlashQld : Thats the only way that donations can be done mate
  • Chronus : FlashQld, would you mind a suggestion? Can you enable Donations via PayPal?
  • FlashQld : If its not in the downloads section then its in the forums. If its in the forums, read the New Users section.
